My Skin Regimen

I'll start by saying I don't know jack about skin care. I'm not an esthetician, I'm not a makeup pro, I don't even wear makeup regularly. This is just what I like and use. Don't be so self-absorbed Teri, nobody cares what you use. I know… but I wanted to do a product post so there.

Daily I use Philosophy Purity Cleanser. It's a 3-in-1 cleanser that removes makeup, tones, cleanses and lightly moisturizes. This is gentle but WORKS. I like the scent because it's a light clean scent that isn't too soapy or perfume-y smelling. Perfume-y is a word, right?

To remove eye makeup I don't have a standard product I use. I think I got this one at Walgreens as a "compares to Loreal". I don't like this stuff because it burns. I'll be going back to Aveeno after this bottle is gone.

Moisturize. Moisturize. Moisturize. I use the Hydrating cream in the morning and the enzyme cream in the evening. These little bottles were expensive ($40/each). I do like them but I'm going to give Clinique's moisturizer a whirl next round.
By the way, at my last facial I told my aesthetician that I didn't put moisturizer on because I'd been oily lately. She told me to NEVER skip moisturizing. If you're going to do anything, you need to moisturize daily.

2-3 times a week I exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot Scrub. I've used this for years and love how well it gets down into my pores. I will use this at night every time I wear foundation because the foundations I use are so thick. (MAC and Smashbox).

For a quick refresh especially after flying I use this spray

Once a month I use this sugar scrub from Head 2 Toe. I think it's a Minnesota- only company.. I can't find anything online.

The Philosophy pink frosted animal cracker wash smells AH-MAZING. It's my new everyday favorite.

My body lotion is simple plain old baby lotion in the vanilla oatmeal scent.

I top my shower off by dousing myself with Victoria's Secret Fresh & Clean spray. I am not big on most perfumes because it's a little strong for me and I don't like having a harsh scent while carrying a baby all day. This is so light and fruity and perfect for (hopefully) upcoming Spring & Summer.

For a glow I use Jergens Natural Glow. The best part about this lotion is it doesn't have that horrible tan scent. I used to use the face lotion as well but found it clogged my pores so I stopped and just dust with a great bronzer.

Good ol' Burts Bees Chapstick. I used to be a lipgloss junkie but giving hundreds of kisses a day to a baby doesn't mix well with sticky gloss.

So there you have it. No wonder the cosmetics industry is booming. All these products and my face still looks sub-par most days.
