Show and Tell Tuesday: My Hometown

Double post day! See today's other post all about your's truly. Linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday.  This Tuesday's topic is: your hometown.  My hometown is pretty darn awesome - especially if you love Target...

Born and raised and never left Roseville, Minnesota!

Located just 5 minutes from Minneapolis and Saint Paul so I am right in the middle of so much fun stuff to do in the Twin Cities.

Home of the VERY FIRST Target ever

Today that Target is "my" Target. Everyone has "their" Target, you know what I mean? When you go to another Target your items aren't where "your" Target keeps them and you think all the others are wrong. My Target today on the same location:

You can find me here at least 3 times a week.

We have so many parks in Roseville with great playgrounds that are up to date and so much fun. There are tons of walking and jogging trails and the area is just so beautiful. Roseville totally lives up to its name.

This rocket ship slide was around when I was a kid and was totally the shit and is still around for my kids to get hurt on, just like their father and I did.

Notable famous people from Roseville include Richard Dean Anderson (MacGyver), Peter Krause (Parenthood), Mike Muscala (Atlanta Hawks) and Loni Anderson who sat next to my uncle in high school in one class. So he says. All of them graduated from my high school: Roseville Area High School. Also knows as RAHS.

The movie Sugar and Spice filmed some scenes here including at our historic Dairy Queen location.

In 2010 Minnesota's Preservation Alliance named this location (Minnesota's oldest location) as one of the top 10 endangered historical places in the state. When the weather warms up even slightly the lines to this place are loooooong but so worth it. It's a walk up only with seating outside the front of it only.

Fun Fact: My high school cheerleading coach was a stunt double in the Sugar & Spice movie.

Our mall is huge and has all the best shops:

and of course we're just 20 minutes away from the Mall of America

I love this town and will probably never leave. An amazing place to raise children and grow up. Very clean and safe and tons of dining, shopping, and nightlife.

  3. That's probably one town I've never been to in Minnesota! And I've been to that MOA so many times. Seems like such a cute city to live in!

  5. What! How cool that you live next to the very first Target, my husband has no clue why I like Target so much! I tell why don't you? I went to Minnesota once for a work thing and went to MOA every night, haha.
